From Morning Prayer:

Jesus said to the people in the synagogue at Nazareth:

“Truly, I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his own country.

… Elijah was sent to only Zarephath,

… Elisha; to only Naaman the Syrian.” 

They were filled with wrath. They put him out of the city, but passing through the midst of them he went away.

I pray that this text finds you trusting,  producing fruit and welcoming.

I pray that we may all have a day of welcoming.

Please pray for all those listed in both parts of the litany that follows.
